Roulette fans will know that the game is French in origin and the name comes from the French for ‘little wheel’. As such, Live French Roulette is in many ways a return to the original game and it brings you the most authentic Roulette experience possible. The game features the original French betting terms, and the action is streamed to you in high definition live from a real casino floor. As you place your bets and interact with our professional croupiers, you will soon feel as if you have been transported to a top French casino.

How to Play Live French Roulette

The game follows the standard French Roulette rules. It features the wheel that has been divided into 37 numbered segments, from 0 to 36, as well as the standard betting areas, including a Racetrack. Players simply need to place their chips on the relevant parts of the betting area and watch as the ball decides their fate.

LiveFrench Roulette Bets and Payouts

While the premise of Roulette is simple, the game has been designed to give players as many betting options as possible and this makes it far more exciting. Rather than just betting on individual numbers, you can also bet on groups of numbers. These groups can be formed by the layout of the wheel and betting area, or they may simply be numbers that share characteristics, such as all the black numbers.

Using the standard betting area you can place the following bets:

  • Plein (Straight Up): A bet on an individual number.
  • Cheval (Split): A bet on two numbers that are adjacent in the betting area.
  • Transversale Pleine (Street): A bet on three numbers in a row on the betting area.
  • Carré (Corner):A bet on four numbers whose corners meet on the betting area.
  • Transversale de Qwwwre (Four): A bet on the numbers 0/1/2/3.
  • Transversale Simple (Line):A bet on two neighbouring streets, a total of six numbers.
  • Colonne (Column): A bet on one of the horizontal columns of 12 numbers in the betting area.
  • Douzaine (Dozen):A bet on the first, second or third group of 12 numbers (1-12, 13-24 and 25-36).
  • Rouge/Noir (Red/Black):A bet on either red or black numbers.
  • Pair/Impair (Even/Odd):A bet on either odd or even numbers.
  • Manque (1-18)/Passe (19-36) (Low/High): A bet on whether the ball will land on a low or high number (1 – 18 or 19 – 36).

You can place the following bets on the Racetrack betting area:

  • Voisins du Zero:A bet on the neighbours of 0 on the wheel, it includes every number between 22 and 25.
  • Tier: A bet on the area of the wheel opposite 0, the bet covers about a third of the wheel between numbers 33 and 27.
  • Orphelins: A bet on the numbers 17, 34, 6, 1, 20, 14, 31 and 9.
  • Zero:A bet on seven numbers on a section of the wheel with four chips. One chip on: 0/3 12/15, 28 and 32/35.

There are a few more bets in French Roulette and you will find shortcuts to help you place them:

  • Orphelins a Cheval: A special type of Orphelins bet that requires fewer chips.
  • Jeu 7/9: A bet on all numbers ending in 7, 8 and 9.
  • Jeu 0: A bet on the numbers immediately next to zero.
  • Finales en Plein: A bet on all the numbers ending in a particular digit.
  • Finales a Cheval: A series of bets placed on numbers ending in two digits. For example if a Finales a Cheval 1/2 is placed then chips are placed on 1/2, 11/12, 21, 22, 31/32.

French Roulette has a rule called ‘La Partage’. It means that if the ball comes to rest on 0 then you will receive half of all even money bets back.

The smallest payout is x2 for betting on large groups of numbers, such as the Reds, Blacks, Odds or Evens. Column and Dozen bets payout x3, Double Street bets payout at x6, Corner bets payout at x9, Street bets and 0-1-2/0-2-3 payout at x12, Split bets pay at x18, and Single Number bets offer the largest payouts of x36.
